Tamino Introduces New Album: Belgian-Egyptian musician Tamino has announced his third album, Every Dawn’s a Mountain, set for release on March 31. Alongside the announcement, he unveiled its first single, “Babylon,” performed live in a single take from the rooftop of a New York City building. This release offers a glimpse into the album’s themes and musical direction.
Tamino Introduces New Album
The album will feature 10 tracks, many inspired by Tamino’s move to New York and his experiences touring with Mitski. One standout track, “Sanctuary,” will include Mitski as a guest artist. Tamino described the creative process as challenging, emphasizing that he approaches songwriting like carving a sculpture rather than following a set plan. He shared that the album became a way to honor things lost in his life, with each song reflecting themes of release and acceptance.
North American Tour Planned for 2024
Following the album’s release, Tamino will embark on a headlining tour across North America. The tour will include stops in cities such as San Diego, Portland, Seattle, Chicago, Montreal, Brooklyn, and Philadelphia. Tickets for the tour will go on sale on October 18 at 10 a.m. local time. This gives fans a chance to see him perform live.
A New Chapter After Sahar
Every Dawn’s a Mountain follows Tamino’s 2022 album, Sahar. Reflecting on the creative process, Tamino explained how many of the new songs emerged suddenly. This demands his focus and shaping his days. “The faster the flame burns, the harder it is to catch,” he said, describing how inspiration hit him with force. He believes this new album, though eclectic at times, feels like the most cohesive and harmonious work he has created so far.
