Album Release and Collaborations
Ahead of the album’s release, Finneas dropped music videos for the title track “For Cryin’ Out Loud” and another song, “Cleats.” In an interview with Rolling Stone, he explained the different approach he took with this album compared to his previous work, Optimist (2021), which he made alone. “It was satisfying but also lonely. I didn’t feel it was the best it could be,” he said. For For Cryin’ Out Loud, Finneas chose to collaborate more, working with members of Bad Suns and songwriters who have teamed up with artists like Halsey, Olivia Rodrigo, and Daisy.
Additional Tour Dates and Appearances
Finneas’ North American tour is scheduled between other international stops, including shows in Australia, New Zealand, the U.K., and Europe. If fans in Los Angeles want to catch him earlier, he’ll be opening for his sister, Billie Eilish, at the Kia Forum on December 21. Fans in New York City also had a chance to see him at Brooklyn’s Warsaw on October 12. But the show has already sold out.
