He joked that, since age is flexible in the Mamma Mia Cinematic Universe, Carpenter could easily play Sophie’s daughter. Seyfried initially seemed hesitant but quickly warmed up to the idea. Especially after being reminded that Cher played Meryl Streep’s mother in the sequel, despite their small age difference. Seyfried laughed and agreed, saying, “If Sabrina Carpenter wants to play my daughter, I’ll make it happen. It’s fine. I’m a big fan.”
