Girl Talk described the process of crafting “Believe in Ya” as an opportunity to blend styles in a transformative way. “T-Pain is a living legend, and an absolute master of his craft,” Gillis said in a press release. “I wanted to give him a different sound, something that takes elements from the past but transforms it into a modern style.”

Yaeji’s contribution added a distinctive element to the song, including a synth part used in the outro. “Her vocal style is obviously really different from T-Pain, and I loved how it worked as a contrasting element,” Gillis noted.

Positive and Uplifting Vibes

Yaeji shared her excitement about collaborating on a project with such an uplifting message. “It was a joy to create music that’s positive and uplifting, especially alongside T-Pain and Girl Talk,” she said.

Girl Talk, celebrated for his innovative use of samples, has continued to push creative boundaries in his music. His 2006 album Night Ripper was recognized by Rolling Stone as one of the “250 Greatest Albums of the 21st Century So Far,” highlighting his ability to create seamless, energetic mashups.

“Believe in Ya” serves as another testament to Gillis’ talent for blending genres and working with diverse artists. With its vibrant production and motivational lyrics, the single promises to resonate with fans and newcomers alike.

The track is available now on streaming platforms, offering listeners a dose of positivity and collaboration from three of music’s most distinctive voices.
