The 90-second video shows Tyler, wearing a mask. Then it leads a group of similarly dressed men into a large shipping container spray-painted with the word “Chromakopia.” In the teaser’s final moments, the video shifts from sepia tones to full color just as the container explodes. Each of Tyler’s social media accounts featured slightly different captions for the clip: “1. st chroma” on Instagram and simply “8” on YouTube.
Recent Releases and Collaborations
Since releasing Call Me If You Get Lost, Tyler has stayed active through collaborations, such as Pharrell Williams’ “Cash In Cash Out.” However, his only solo release since the 2021 album was The Estate Sale, a deluxe version of Call Me If You Get Lost. It features additional tracks recorded during the original sessions.
Festival Performances Keep Fans Waiting
Tyler’s recent festival appearances, including Coachella and Austin City Limits, have fueled anticipation for new music. However, fans were left wondering after he skipped both Lollapalooza and Outside Lands. During his Austin City Limits sets, Tyler stuck to his existing catalog, performing no new material. With the release of “St. Chroma,” excitement is building. Fans are eager to see what Tyler has in store next.
